Industrial & Refrigeration Filter Cleaning

Why ultrasonics works on more than DPFs.
Ultrasonics has been around for many years. It’s widely used industrially for parts cleaning, surgical instrument cleaning, jewellery cleaning, electronics cleaning – anywhere you need to release accumulated material from intricate surfaces without abrasion.
The same physics works on a diesel particulate filter and on a refrigeration filter and on most commercial filtration units. Heat the fluid. Generate the bubbles. The bubbles get into every part of the structure. They burst. The released material rinses out.
The process is completely harmless to the filter – the substrate doesn’t wear out, and the same filter can come back to us multiple times when it blocks up again.
What we clean for industrial customers.

Refrigeration filters
Cool Logic and similar applications. Recurring service relationships work well here – filters get cleaned, returned, reinstalled, then come back to us when they need it next time.
Industrial particulate filters
Generators, plant filtration, commercial extraction systems. The same accumulation problem as a DPF, just in a different machine.
Catalytic substrates
Any cat-style honeycomb structure that’s blocked or contaminated. Common alongside DPFs, but also in standalone applications.
How an industrial job runs.
Same four steps as a DPF clean: pre-soak, ultrasonic tank, rinse and dry, with a flow test where the geometry allows. The detergent and tank time are tuned to the contamination – refrigeration deposits behave differently from diesel soot.
For first-time industrial jobs we’ll usually want to talk through the part before it ships. What’s the substrate, what’s built up in it, how it’s normally serviced. Ten minutes on the phone saves both of us guesswork.

Cool Logic sends us refrigeration filters for cleaning on a recurring basis. The filters come in, go through the same ultrasonic process we use on DPFs, get tested where the geometry allows, and go back. Same units have been through the process multiple times.
That’s the model that works for industrial customers: predictable cleaning intervals, same filters cycling through, lower total cost than buying replacements every service.
Is your industry a fit?

- Filter replacement is a notable annual cost line
- Filters are accessible and can be sent by courier
- Service intervals are regular and predictable
- Filters don’t self-clean or chemically regenerate – they need physical cleaning
